ACTS: Part 46 – Doing God’s Will even to the Death
After saying farewell to the Ephesian elders, we sailed straight to the island of Cos, on the way to Jerusalem. Paul and his companions then sailed to Tyre where they stayed for a week with the Christian disciples. While there there is a prophecy that he should not go to Jerusalem for there his life will be in danger. Paul and his company then arrive in Caesarea where this time Agabus prophesies of the same danger to Paul’s life. But Paul knows that he must go to Jerusalem. All the Believers are weeping over the danger to Paul. But he said, “Why all this weeping? You are breaking my heart! I am ready not only to be jailed at Jerusalem but even to die for the sake of the Lord Jesus.” When it was clear that we couldn’t persuade him, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”
