Living Worry-Free: Part 8 – One Day at a Time
The conclusion of our study in Matthew 6:33 is a reminder to walk and talk with God today and not live in the future. So many of us never really live in the moment because we are so anxious about tomorrow. When Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13, he taught us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Christianity is always lived in the now. Satan, the deceiver, would have you live in the future, lusting after and desiring things that God has not given you today. Paul understood this when he said to the Philippians, Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
