Luke: Part 18 – The Gospel of the Kingdom
  -

After a very busy time of ministry in the North of Israel, Jesus prepares to move on to another town. Luke writes in chapter 4, verses 42-44, Early the next morning Jesus went out to an isolated place. The crowds searched everywhere for him, and when they finally found him, they begged him not to leave them. But he replied, “I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent.” So he continued to travel around, preaching in synagogues throughout Judea. Most simply saw Him as a miracle worker and a great teacher, but to those who understood that Jesus was the Messiah, His talk about the Good News of the Kingdom was absolutely the best news these people had ever heard. Their thoughts would lead them to understand that the Kingdom of Rome would soon be overthrown and that the Kingdom of David, Israel’s greatest King, was about to be reestablished through Jesus Christ.
