No Worries! #4 Stewardship
One of the most sobering passages of scripture in the Bible is also a warning: “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” Jesus does not go easy on His disciples (and by the way, a disciple is a “Learner”). He insists that His disciples learn how to be good stewards in the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God implies that there is a King. Well, we know that Jesus is the King, and the King is making sure that we understand that everything that has been given to us has actually been entrusted to us. Real Christians own nothing. Jesus owns it all. Our duty is to properly administer it. Real Christians are stewards; we are not consumers. We forget this to our peril.
