Word Made Flesh – Week 1

John the Evangelist reported that “the Word became flesh”. Matthew the Evangelist begins his Gospel, “This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham.” Mark begins his account with, “This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God. It began just as the prophet Isaiah had written…” Finally, Luke begins with the angelic announcement, “Don’t be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never
